Affordable budget hotel within close proximity to Ueno station and surrounding attractions

Very convenient location — within 5 minute walking distance of Ueno station. Room was maintained and clean. Friendly and hospitable staff. All necessary amenities available, including washing machine and dryers to do your own laundry. Small rooms, but suitable for solo travelers or a couple traveling light.

Great place for solo traveller

I enjoyed my stay as a solo-traveler. The room was clean and well equipped, helpful staff, the bathtub is a nice touch. The hotel is clean and very conveniently located. From the 9th floor You hear the road nearby but nothing unpleasant in such an urban environment. . Good hotel overall!

The room door could be improved as you ear a lot of noises from the walkway

Good location and value in Ueno

Loacted 4-8 minutes from Ueno, depending on which part of the station you exit from- 8 mins to JR. Frontage appears in a pleasant wooden doorway, and, much like Tokyo, located in a vertical tower. Staff were bubbly and helpful- receiving and storing our 2 ski bags sent via Black Cat. Bathroom and bed both very nice. Only one pillow each- but we were out and about, so didn't really matter. Good temp in room, didn't use the heater/ air con unit (Winter) and remained a good temperature over night. Combini 1 minute away.

Close to many train stations. The facilities are nice. The staffs are nice and took care of the baggage delivery service on our last day so we can enjoy ourselves hassle-free in town.

Close proximity to JR station. Allowed us to keep our luggages between our stays in the hotel in seperate dates

Near ueno station ( follow iriya gate), stay for 3 nights and already inform that out room will not clean during our stay, but we can change the towel and other amenitties in 3rd floor

Stiil using keyring, coin laundry dryer not really drying clothes (using 40 minutes > 100yen/10 minutes) and the clothes still feels wet

Close to the station and lots of restaurants and shopping.

Single room was a little on the small side. Manageable, but could use just a little more space around the bed area. Easily hear the people in the next room and hall.

Great location, cozy rooms, mostly self service model

Great location, easy to check in. Rooms were clean and staff were generally helpful. Hotel had free WiFi, in room mini fridge (but didn't fit larger bottles of water and really only chilled drinks), nice bathroom, plumbing worked as expected, ample counter space. I did like the self serve aspect of getting extra amenities including towels. On site coin laundry facilities and a detergent dispenser were a plus and convenient.

It felt like there was a relative absence of staff, since no one was around during certain hours. The room was rather small and cramped. The elevator to the upper floors where the hotel is actually located was rather small and there was only one elevator. The hotel still uses actual keys, so it required additional coordination with my roommate. We couldn't just have separate keys and come and go as we pleased. There weren't enough electrical outlets and there was only one available in the room desk, as the other outlet was used for the kettle. It made it hard for two people to charge and access electronics without having phone cables stretching across the room! Finally, the coin laundry dryer really did not do a good job drying clothes. It took over an hour to mostly dry a small to medium size load!
